Old pond
We began to research how much we were defined by the environment we were in, by simple conditions, from body type to the physics of laws, to cultural engagements, social resonances and how we process all these. We worked with artificial sensors that would give to the performers more abilities, so they are also kinetically able to control the light and sounds of the performance alliterating the environment they are in through movement. We developed the idea of meeting the bodies as environment, as receptors, and agents of this habitat. Little by little the interest in different environmental conditions started to appear like under water and outer space. The imaginary of this project grew out of the complexity of super-organisms, the deep see creature known as syphonophores (colonial jellyfish). We build a colonial codependent relation between the performers during the piece. Old pond became the ever-changing process of sensing and experiencing.
